1019 - Goat Island Lighthouse Sunset

Goat Island Lighthouse Sunset

Goat Island sits at the entrance to Newport Harbor. It is accessible by foot and by car by traveling across the causeway. The lighthouse (notice the green glow in the right center) was first lit in 1842, automated in 1923, and is still operating as an Active Aid to Navigation. The Island and lighthouse are beautiful, especially during a gorgeous sunset.
