Lambertville Tracks

The view of Lambertville, New Jersey has changed little over the last one hundred years. Nestled on the east bank of the Delaware River, its tree-lined streets, Victorian houses and Federal row homes and the graceful lines of its church spires continue to greet the eye as they did in the 1800s. This abandoned railroad siding makes one reminisce about the heyday of steam driven train travel from an earlier and slower time of life in America.

Pond By Tracks

Share the beauty of the engineer's view of the pond as the train crosses the bridge (see Image #1037). Can you feel the movement of the train as you look at the rails? The reflection of the brilliant autumn colors in the mirrorlike waters of the pond complete this spectacular scene.

Angled Tracks

These tracks are part of the Metro North Railroad System along the East side of the Hudson River. Captured here is a section of track in Columbia County New York alongside Route 9J.

Windy Tracks

Another view of the same section of railroad tracks seen in Image #1101. The sweeping clouds against the blue sky capture the windy conditions otherwise invisible in this photograph.

Riding the Tracks

These tracks are part of the Metro North Railroad System along the East side of the Hudson River. This view of the tracks seems to have been taken while riding on the front of the train when in actuality the artist was firmly on the ground.

New Hope Tracks

Among other things, New Hope, Pennsylvania is home to one of the last remaining steam trains in America. This tourist train travels through the countryside surrounding New Hope huffing and puffing it’s way along. As the train leaves the city of New Hope, it crosses these tracks and seems to disappear into the wilderness.

Railroad Bridge (Vertical)

Railroad bridges like the one pictured here dot the countryside and attest to our reliance on rail transport of goods. This view through the bridge gives the impression that the bridge and tracks continue on indefinitely.
