Nestled in the upstate New York town of Rhinebeck, Ferncliff Forest and Preserve is a fun place to walk all year round. A perfectly clear sunny day helps the calm pond show its reflection and peaceful solitude. In addition to our standard sizes, this image is available as a 12x18.
Taken at the Losahatchee Wildlife Preserve section of the Florida Everglades, this photograph captures the serene view of the almost endless swamp grasses under a beautiful sky. Seemingly barren of wildlife, this patch of the Everglades is usually filled with shore birds, insects, occasional deer, and of course alligators.
The Golden Gate Bridge opened to vehicular traffic on May 28, 1937. The bridge's 4,200 foot long main span was a world record for 27 years. The bridge's two towers rise 746 feet making them 191 feet taller than the Washington Monument. The five lane bridge crosses Golden Gate Strait which is about 400 feet deep and connects San Francisco and Marin counties. This view from Marin County shows the City of San Francisco through the suspension cables of the bridge.
As viewed from Auke Bay, the Mendenhall Glacier is a tongue of ice, stretching 12 miles and reaching 1-1/2 miles across the Mendenhall Valley, with ice 400-800 feet deep.
